Yes. Combining the two is called a hybrid project. For example, you could reface your existing uppers and lowers and add or replace a pantry cabinet.

Yes. Tub-to-shower conversions are one of our most popular bathroom projects. We remove the tub and install a low-threshold shower base with new walls, so getting in and out is easier and safer. Your design consultant will walk you through the options and the timeline.

Acrylic is the most budget-friendly and the easiest to clean. Solid surface adds durability and a natural stone look in hundreds of colors. Cultured marble makes the shower the focal point of the room. All three are waterproof and grout-free, and your design consultant will bring samples to your home.

Yes! Our design consultants make the selection process easy and fun. We’ll help you choose colors, countertops, cabinets, flooring—you name it.

Definitely. We bring samples to your home during the consultation and also have a showroom you can visit so you can see and touch your options before committing.

We can typically finalize your design in two appointments—first, we’ll meet at your home to listen to your ideas and take measurements. Then we’ll schedule a showroom visit so you can explore color and style options in person and make confident decisions.

Absolutely. We’ve taken nearly 50 years of remodeling experience—and our relationships with trusted suppliers—to narrow down the most popular styles, colors, and brands for our region. That means you won’t have to sort through thousands of options. Instead, you’ll get a focused, curated selection that makes decision-making easier and more enjoyable.

That’s no problem! We design spaces that reflect your taste—not just what’s popular. Whether you love timeless, modern, rustic, or something totally unique, we’ll help you create a look that feels like home.

Timeline & Process

Timelines vary by project, but most kitchens take 7–10 days and bathrooms 3–5 days. You'll get a clear timeline before we start.

No, we take steps to keep your home as livable as possible while we work, and your project manager will walk you through what to expect.

Our own JSB installation crews. Countertops are the one trade we coordinate with a local fabricator. You'll meet your crew and project manager before work starts, so you always know who's on-site and who to call with questions.

Your project manager will keep you in the loop with regular updates, and we’re always available to answer questions along the way.

After nearly 50 years of remodeling homes, we’ve seen just about everything—and we know how to handle surprises when they pop up. If anything unexpected comes up during your project, we’ll communicate with you right away and walk through the options together before making any changes to the plan or cost.

Yes. If you pay by check, cash or credit card, payments are split into four: 30% up front to reserve your spot and order materials, 30% when your project starts, 30% at substantial completion and 10% after the final walkthrough. If you finance, your lender handles the payments.

We’re big believers in transparency. You’ll get a detailed, itemized quote up front—no hidden costs or vague estimates. We’ll also help you make smart choices that fit your priorities, so you stay on track without sacrificing quality.

Sliding doors are made in standard sizes and fit walk-in showers and tub/shower combos. Custom glass doors are made to fit non-standard sizes and can enclose more than one side, but they swing open, so they don't work as well with a tub/shower combo.

The wet space is the tub and shower area, and sometimes the floor, since those spots get the most water. It doesn't include the toilet, sink, vanity, lighting, mirror or accessories.

No. Kitchen floors usually run into the rooms next to them, so a flooring company can replace the whole area more cost-effectively. We're happy to recommend flooring companies and coordinate the schedule.

No. We coordinate the schedule with trusted countertop companies in the Columbus area, and you buy the countertop directly from the supplier, so you don't pay our markup on it. You can see samples at a showroom appointment.

Organizers that make your cabinets work harder: utensil and pan organizers, roll-out trays, adjustable shelves, single and double trash roll-outs, cookie-tray and spice pull-outs, and more.

Refacing updates the parts you see (face frames, doors and drawer fronts) and keeps your existing cabinet boxes and shelves. Replacing removes the whole cabinet, box included, and installs new ones.

All JSB cabinets are built by Amish craftsmen in Ohio. New cabinets are solid hardwood, and refacing uses 1/4" hardwood. Standard features include dovetail drawer joints, hardwood-core doors and drawer fronts, all-hardwood cabinet boxes and drawer glides rated for 100 lbs. Because they're made to order, you can choose any door style and color.

We use high-quality, durable materials that we’ve tested and trust—from quartz countertops to solid wood cabinetry.

In most cases, we recommend using materials through us to ensure quality and warranty coverage, but we're happy to discuss any special requests during your consultation.

Absolutely. We have many sustainable and low-maintenance materials available—just let us know your priorities and we’ll guide you to the right choices.
